Playtime is a great chance for you to spend one-to-one time with your child, enjoying and exploring music.

The class is lead by a leader, with the participation of the parent or care-giver as they help their child through each activity or song.

No previous musical experience is required and everyone is welcome!

When is Playtime on?


Fridays during school terms.

Where is Playtime held?

Dundas Area Neighbourhood Centre, 21 Sturt Street, Telopea.

What is the weekly schedule?

9.30-9.45am - Informal Play

Free play activities for children while adults check-in.

9:45-10:45am - Free Play

10.45- 11:00am - Pack up and Finish

How can I get involved?

Parents/carers engage with their child/ren during Playtime by singing and participating with their child/ren. And helping pack-up toys as able. We share the Spotify playlist of the songs so that you can play them at other times with your child.

What do I need to bring?

Morning tea for your child (please still inform us via the registration if your child has any allergies)

Readiness to enjoy a fun musical time engaging with your child/ren


There is limited parking behing the Dundas Library.  Otherwise use street parking.

Safety and Responsibility

We aim to make It’s Music Time as safe as possible, but please ensure that you supervise your child at all times.

There are many precious moments parenting worth remembering.  However please only photograph your child.


Playgroups are a valuable opportunity to teach children how to share.  However germs are not something anyone else wants.  Please do not attend It’s musictime if you or your child/ren are not well / or showing any symptoms of illness.

How much is It’s Playtime?

A gold coin donation each week to cover costs.

How do I register?

For a variety of reasons registration is important.  We encourage you to pre-register online and complete our registration form before you come.
